Swara Bhasker and Kangana Ranaut teams’ twitter spat turns ugly as the latter calls her ‘terrorism promoter’

Swara Bhasker mocked Kangana Ranaut's recent comments on introducing feminism in the Indian cinema through 'Queen'. Kangana's team hit back at her calling her anti-national and terrorism promotion.

Actress Swara Bhasker on Tuesday took a potshot at Kangana Ranaut for claiming that feminism and parallel cinema became mainstream with her 2013 film ‘Queen’. Swara Bhasker in a tweet mocking the actress called her out for her comments.

Swara shared a clip from Kangana’s recent interview and wrote in Hindi, “Kangana Ji ran parallel cinema with ‘Pather Panchali’ in 1955, She started Feminism with Queen in 2013, but first of all in 1947, she got India independence. – says an unknown sycophantic needy outsider, eating the fruits of sycophancy and licking fingers.”

Soon as Swara’s tweet went viral, Kangana Ranaut’s team quickly retorted with a series of tweets accusing her of “simply distracting from the culprits who killed Sushant”.

Kangana’s team on Tuesday wrote,“Dear @ReallySwara none of you were born in the golden era of Indian cinema after Gangsters mafias and Dons took over the industry it became big stinking gutter and feminism and parallel cinema awakening happened with Queen 2014 if not please correct us when it happened ?”

Raising a series of objectionable comments and questions, Kangana’s team in their final tweet wrote, “Bloodthirsty terrorism promoters urban Naxals & anti-nationals hv come out in full force, dey call themselves anti-establishment bt nw ganging up on a lone warrior to protect people who psychologically &emotionally lynched Shushant, did dey say a word when he ws bullied & killed?”

In her recent interview, Kangana had called out Swara Bhasker, Tapsee Pannu, and Richa Chaddha. She went on to call them needy outsiders and B grade actresses on Republic TV. She further reiterated that they all love to be sycophants which is why they do not have a problem with Karan Johar.

“For me, I have only to lose here (in Bollywood) because I know tomorrow they (movie mafia gangs) will get some 20 needy outsiders like Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhasker, who will get up and say, ‘Oh, only Kangana has a problem with nepotism, but we love Karan Johar’. If you love Karan Johar, why you both are B-grade actresses? You are better looking than Alia Bhatt and Ananya Panday. You both are better actresses. Why don’t you get work? Your whole existence is proof of nepotism. What are you telling me how happy you are with the industry? So, I know this happens and the whole system will make me look like a mad person,” Kangana
said in her statement.

Her comments drew reactions from Swara Bhasker who replied on Twitter. She wrote, “Okay so while on topic.. full disclosure & confession. I am needy. I need respectful public interaction. I need rationality and logic in the debate. I need sane, civil, and decent public discourse. I need the rule of law. and I need FACTS! What do you need? #NeedyOutsider.”

Many in the industry including comedian-actor Vir Das, Journalist Faye Dsouza, Barkha Dutt, and others have come out in support of Swara Bhasker and Tapsee Pannu.
