Over a month after Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide, the Mumbai Police have still continued its
investigation. In the latest update, journalist and film critic Rajeev Masand on Tuesday arrived at the Bandra police station to record his statement in the matter. Earlier noted filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Aditya Chopra were summoned to record their statement in the sensational case.
In a recent interview with Republic Tv, Kangana Ranaut bashed the Mumbai Police investigation,
calling it a ‘sham’. She also urged them to summon Bollywood biggies like Karan Johar, Mahesh Bhat,
Rajeev Masand among others.
In her statement, she said, “I am not saying that anyone wanted Sushant to die, but definitely doomed. These people are emotional vultures. They want to see people lynch themselves. To date, Mahesh Bhatt is selling Parveen Babi’s illness in so many versions through his films. Why is Mumbai Police not summoning’ Aditya Chopra, Mahesh Bhatt, Karan Johar, Rajeev Masand? These 4 people. Why because they are powerful’ With this interview, I only have things to lose.”
After Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide, the debate over Nepotism in the industry spread like wildfire. Netizens unearth Rajeev Masand’s blind items against Sushant calling him a ‘skirt-chaser’ apart from a story about #Metoo allegations. Masand faced the internet’s ire soon after the picture of his articles went viral.
