Vijayalakshmi Vadlapati aka Silk Smitha was one of the most sought after erotic actresses in 1980. In a career spanning of 17-years, she worked in more than 450 movies including Kamal Haasan-Sridevi-starrer Hindi film ‘Sadma’, ‘Jeet Hamari’ and ‘Jaani Dosti’ among others.

With her sensual dance movies and beautiful face, Silk Smitha had carved a niche in Telugu cinema. Now a TikTok video of Silk Smitha’s doppelganger has taken the world of social media by storm. A TikTok user named Thara RK is without a doubt shares an uncanny resemblance with Silk Smitha.

Thara RK who looks strikingly similar to Silk Smitha and can be seen imitating her dialogues and sensual expressions. Taking to TikTok, she shared a series of videos from the Malayalam movie titled Spadikam, which was released in 1995.

There have been reports doing rounds on social media that the makers of Spadikam were in process of digitally remastering the film to release it again.

On the 25th anniversary of the film, the director made the announcement along with the first look poster of the film.

With over 263k followers, Thara RK has joined the list of people who look stunningly similar to celebrities.

The sensual actress caught in depression which led her to commit suicide. According to reports, on September 23, 1996, she hanged herself rom the ceiling fan at her residence in Chennai.
