When will Mirzapur season 2 premiere on Amazon Prime Video? Is a question everyone is searching on Google nowadays. It has been more than two years Amazon released the first season of Mirzapur but they have not revealed the official release date of Mirzapur 2.
Whenever Amazon Prime or star cast of Mirzapur series posts on social media, netizens flooded their comment section with a common question, Kab aarha hai Mirzapur season 2. Despite seeing all these, Amazon Prime Video does not seem to drop the release date of Mirzapur 2 at anytime soon.
We have got our hands on an interview in which Shweta Tripathi aka Golu has spoken up about the Mirzapur 2 release but we have not found anything useful in it.
When Shweta Tripathi was asked Mirzapur 2 Kab Aa Raha Hai? she told Koimoi, “The post-production was going on pretty well and on time but because of lockdown it’s stopped right now. I hope everything falls in its place soon. So as of now, there is no guarantee, but I can promise Jab Aaega Tab Bhaikal Zaroor Hoga.”
Those who have watched the first season of Mirzapur must know that there are multiple characters died at the end and only a few characters will be returning to season 2. Shweta Tripathi is one of them and we have already witnessed a glimpse of her look from the upcoming season.
When she was asked about the response Mirzapur season 1 got and did she expect the same, Shweta expressed how during shooting the pressure was eminent that they were creating something special.
Golu said, “The way I function, is keep working, do good and you will get better than that. Mirzapur 1 or Masaan for that matter, we didn’t think it would blow up like this. With Masaan, it was a film, we did, it was received well and we moved on. But when it comes to a series like Mirzapur, though we loved it because we were a part of it but also as an audience when I saw it I loved every bit of it.”
“When we were shooting the season 2 there was so much pressure that everybody felt. Everyone was invested equally. Generally, when you are shooting, people know what the story is where it will go and so on. But on Mirzapur sets, everybody was intrigued, I have never seen the crew so invested and interested in the plot, “ Shweta Tripathi signed off.
The first season of Mirzapur featured Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, Divyendu Sharma and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. Mirzapur season 1 ended on a cliff hanger leaving viewers wanting for more.
