Sath Nibhana Sathiya is all set to come back for season 2 after scenes from the show became massively viral on the internet. Reprising her role as Gopi Bahu, Bigg Boss 13 fame Devoleena Bhattacharjee will return to the small screen once again. The actress recently shared a teaser announcing her comeback.
She captioned the teaser as, “We are back by popular demand.”

In the promo, Devoleena is seen dressed in a pink saree looking pretty, and talks about a new character Gehna. The show will be returning with a second season after three years.
Sath Nibhana Sathiya which wrapped up in 2017 became a viral sensation after Yashraj Mukhate created a rap video of its scenes. He turned Rupal Patel’s Kokilaben’s dialogue “Rasode Mein Kaun Tha” into an iconic rap song. The catchy video became massively popular in India as well as overseas. from Smriti Irani, Kartik Aaryan to Rajkummar Rao, Disha Patani, and Sanya Malhotra everyone was seen presenting their versions.
Sath Nibhana Sathiya 2 Confirmed
Making the most of this opportunity the makers decided to launch Sath Nibhana Sathiya 2. In her conversation about season 2 with Mumbai Mirror, producer Rashmi Sharma said, “Saathiya has been a talking point since its launch in 2010. During the lockdown, its reruns were widely watched and that made us believe this is a good time to bring it back with a new season. Its recall value is still very strong. There will be many new characters and a twist in the storyline, but it will remain a family show and be driven by relationships.”
The Original Gopi Bahu aka Giaa Manek however has not been approached by the makers and will instead see Devoleena and Rupal reprise their roles again.

On being asked about the Sath Nibhana Sathiya 2, Gia in her interview with TOI said, I have lived the journey of Gopi bahu. Even when Devoleena joined the show as the new Gopi bahu, I never had any anger for her because, at the end of the day, everyone is doing their job. If not her, someone else would have done it. I don’t know much about the second season, but if they have cast Devoleena again, I am happy for her.”
Meanwhile, Sath Nibhana Sathiya 2 makers are now in search of new faces for the show.
