Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has reportedly been diagnosed with lung cancer. The 61-year-old actor was recently admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital after complaining of breathlessness. However, he was discharged in a day.
Sanjay who complained of chest discomfort earlier in the week took to his Twitter to announce a break for his medical care. He also asked his fans not to indulge into speculations or baseless theories in the meantime.
The social media rumor mill has been abuzz with reports of Sanjay Dutt being diagnosed with cancer. In his recent tweet on Tuesday Sanjay asked his fans not to pay heed to unverified stories.
Announcing his break, he wrote: “Hi friends, I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon.”

The actor recently underwent the COVID-19 test after being hospitalized during the weekend. His results turned out negative.
Sanjay Dutt is one of the prominent leading actors in Bollywood. In 2019, he starred in big budget films like Kalank, Prasthanam and Panipat. The actor is currently awaiting the release of Kalank 2 which stars Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapoor in leading roles.
