Salman Khan’s Dabbang character Chulbul Pandey to be turned into an animated avatar

"The next logical step to grow the franchise was to enter the animation space" says Arbaaz Khan

Chulbul Pandey is back again but this time in animated avatar. Action, drama and fun in a rewamped package of animation. Leading animation studio Cosmos-Maya is producing an animation series from the adaptation of Arbaaz Khan Productions highly successful blockbuster ‘Dabbang’ franchise. The series is being created with the same characters as the film and universal storylines which will cater to a massive audience.

An action packed series ambushed with humor and wit. The series chronicles the day to day life of Police Officer Chulbul Pandey( played by Salman Khan in the movie). He stands firm when it comes to keeping the city safe by warding off the evil enemies. Fighting evil can be a tough job but when it comes to Chulbul Pandey, the man knows how to conquer against evil. Chulbul always lightens up the mood with his jokes, punch lines and limericks even while fighting the evil. His famous punchlines like, “Hum tum mein itne ched karenge ki confuse ho jaoge ki saans kaha se le aur….” has made the action packed scenes seem funny too.

The show will feature the animated avatars of all iconic characters of the franchise including the three antagonists Chhedi Singh, Bachcha Bhaiya and Baali. Brother Makkhi (played by Arbaaz Khan in the movie), Rajjo (played by Sonakshi Sinha in the films), Prajapati JI (played by late Vinod Khanna in the movie) and’ Bhaiya Ji Ismile ‘ guy.

An unique equipoise between action and humor makes the movie and the upcoming animation series a hit. Arbaaz Khan always had in mind to take his franchise to next levels by entering the animation space.

Speaking of business and development, Arbaaz Khan recently said, “Dabangg’s biggest USP is that it is a complete family entertainer & thus, the next logical step to further grow the franchise was to enter the animation space. The medium offers unparalleled creative freedom with storytelling, and we can focus on shorter standalone stories in lieu of longer, linear narratives. Chulbul’s persona is larger than life and in animation his adventures will be showcased as never seen before. We are very happy to be working with Cosmos-Maya on this glorious franchise which has won the heart of millions. The union has been organic in the sense that the franchise and the studio have both captured the pulse of the Indian masses with entertaining grassroots level storytelling and relatable narratives. Exciting times lie ahead.”
