The Sushant Singh Rajput death probe is taking new turns every day. Recently, his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty was charged against multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code that included cheating, extortion and abetment of suicide. In a first direct video statement released today, Rhea Chakraborty is seen appealing for justice. She also says that she believes she will get justice, even though some horrible things have been said about her in electronic media.
Rhea Chakraborty says in the video, “I have immense faith in God and the judiciary. I believe that I will get justice even though a lot of horrible things are being said about me in the electronic media. I refrain from commenting on the advice of my lawyers. Satyamev Jayate. The Truth Shall Prevail.”

Sushant Singh Rajput’s father earlier this week filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty. KK Singh in his FIR has accused Rhea of siphoning of 15 crores from his accounts, he also said that her blackmailing and threats led to Sushant’s suicide. Following the FIR, Rhea appealed to the Supreme Court for the case’s transfer from Bihar to Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex girlfriend Ankita Lokhande in an interview with India Today questioned why did Rhea leave him if she knew Sushant was not well.
The Jalebi actress in her petition to SC said she and Sushant Singh Rajput were in a live in relationship for one year. She also stated that she is being falsely implicated in the case.
On the case front, the Mumbai Police has so far recorded statements of 40 individuals in the case. Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14th at his Bandra apartment.
