Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai with their sizzling chemistry have always managed to create a spark in hits like Dhoom 2 and Jodha Akbar. Every time they featured together in movies, they ensured they smash all box office records. However, director Rakesh Roshan could not be convinced about the same for he thought Aishwarya Rai looks older than his son Hrithik Roshan.
We still drool over Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan’s hot, controversial lip lock scene from Dhoom 2. Similarly, we have also witnessed a spectacular romance between them in Jodha Akbar, which led them to become one of the most popular pairs in Bollywood.
Little did you know, Hrithik Roshan’s father Rakesh Roshan could not be assured of the pairing. He revealed in an interview that, he wouldn’t be able to cast Aishwarya Rai opposite Hrithik Roshan in his movie as she looks older than Hrithik.
In response to that, Aishwarya had reacted and said, “It’s strange that Rakesh Roshan thinks I look older than Hrithik. In fact he’s approached me for all his home productions,” according to a report.
But on the other hand, once, in an interview with rediff.com, Hrithik Roshan commented on Aishwarya’s acting prowess, he had said, ” I have to say that I had judged her wrong. I felt foolish at that… Sometimes beauty takes over so much of the other talents. She’s someone with a lot more mettle than just what shows on her face.”
If we revisit flashbacks, Rakesh Roshan had even irked Shah Rukh Khan. There used to be a time when Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan were closest buddies in the industry. But it still remains a mystery as to what drifted them both apart. The worst clash came about in 2017 between their films when Rakesh Roshan harshly criticized Shah Rukh over it.
This change of thought happened during the Dhoom 2 shoot in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with Aishwarya. Hrithik had further added that he was fascinated to see her commitment, consistent focus and approach to work.
