Actor and Producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas has already made to the list of global icons. The actor is now working towards bringing more diverse and desi content to the world forum. As per a Variety report, the Quantico star has signed a “2-year multi-million dollar fist look television deal with OTT giant Amazon”.
Amazon Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke in conversation with Variety also said, “Priyanka and I bonded over a shared passion for diverse global storytelling. Priyanka is drawn to exciting original content and characters that can resonate globally. She’s a powerhouse producer, and we are thrilled to collaborate with her for years to come.”

Sharing the news on Instagram, Priyanka wrote “As both an actor and producer, I have always dreamt of an open canvas of creative talent coming together from all over the world to create great content irrespective of language and geography. This has always been the DNA of my production house Purple Pebble Pictures, and is the foundation of this exciting new endeavor with Amazon.”
“And as a storyteller, my quest is to constantly push myself to explore new ideas that not only entertain but most importantly, open minds and perspectives. Looking back on my 20-year career, nearly 60 films later, I hope that I’m on my way to achieving that,” her caption further read.
Priyanka who already has two new shows coming in on Amazon is very excited and hopeful about this partnership. The Desi Girl is working on a reality show with her singer husband Nick Jonas titled Sangeet. The show is inspired by their own wedding sangeet and will see different families compete with each other to win the show. The other much-awaited is an Anthony and Joe Russo’s Citadel, a spy drama starring Richard Madden of the Game of Thrones and Bodyguard fame.
Priyanka who is a powerhouse of talent has already produced two National Award-winning films in India. The deal will enable Priyanka to make content in multiple languages. “My quest really is to be able to tell female stories, work with creators from around the world, and create a cross-pollination of storytelling. My Amazon television deal is a global deal, so I can do whatever language I want,” she said.
