Parth Samthaan has been making multiple headlines over the last few months. The actor who had earlier tested positive for coronavirus has been in the news for reportedly quitting Kasautii Zindagii Kay. According to reports by SpotboyE, Parth has been roped in to play a key role opposite Alia Bhatt in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Gangubai Kathiawadi”.
“Parth has signed his first Bollywood project opposite Alia Bhatt in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. Parth is extremely excited about his filmy debut with the big banner,” a source told the portal.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi is a biographical crime film based on the life of a young girl who is sold into prostitution by her boyfriend. Parth is reported to have a short but impactful role in the film. A report from Times Of India quoted a source as saying, “This was the reason why Parth wanted to take a break from TV so that he can prepare for his big Bollywood break, this shooting of which will be scheduled soon… He didn’t want to juggle between his TV show and his big Bollywood project. Also, he wanted to be not seen on the small screen before he graduated on to the silver screen. He has been quite excited about this role and the talks were on for quite a few months. He even
informed the same to the producer of his show Kasuatii, Ekta Kapoor.”
“Till now his role was kept under wraps as the makers didn’t want to reveal it,” the source further added.
There are also reports of Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 starring Parth and Erica Fernandez
going off-air soon. The much-hyped show amassed huge popularity since the beginning however the recent numbers are reportedly not impressive.
Meanwhile, the makers of Gangubai Kathiawadi or Parth Samthaan have yet to release an official statement about the actor’s role in the film.
