Nicki Minaj on Monday took the internet by storm after revealing she is pregnant with first child.
The rapper shared the news on Instagram with some pretty glam up shots of her baby bump in high heels and string bikini.
Nicki in her pictures is seen sporting a curly, bright yellow hairdo with an intricately decorated bikini coupled with sparkling stilettos. Another picture shows her in a ruffled bottom, white knee-high stockings, and a blue done-up hairstyle, complete with a bright-green bow.
“#Preggers ?,” she captioned the first image of her cradling her belly, writing to accompany the third (which showed Minaj lounging on a pink couch), “Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes. ?”

The news comes after nine months of Nicki Minaj’s hush wedding to Zoo Petty in October. Nicki in her last interview had announced her intentions to retire and instead focus on her family. “I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me … Love you for LIFE,” she wrote on Twitter.
After months of speculation regarding her marriage, Nicki shared the exciting news of her wedding with an Instagram video. The picture showed matching “Mr. and Mrs.” mugs and black and white baseball caps with “Bride” and “Groom” written across the front.
According to the New York Division of Criminal Justice Services records, Petty was convicted in April 1995 of attempted rape in the first degree for a September 1994 incident involving a 16-year-old. He had also pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in the shooting death of a man in 2002. The 42 year old has previously served 7 years in prison and was released in May 2013.
Addressing her husband’s past, Nicki Minaj on one of her posts commented, “He was 15, she was 16 … in a relationship. But go awf Internet. Y’all can’t run my life. Y’all can’t even run y’all own life. Thank you boo.”
