News about Mirzapur season 2 has been eagerly awaited by millions of fans since its first season aired on Amazon Prime Video. Ending on a dramatic cliffhanger, the much hyped web series Mirzapur was one of the biggest crime thriller to emerge from India in the past few years.
It has been a few days the cast and crew of Mirzapur season 2 reunited for a dubbing session in a studio amid COVID-19 scare. The streaming platform Amazon Prime has not yet unleashed the official release date of Mirzapur 2 as of yet.
However, Ali Fazal, who plays Guddu Bhaiyya in Mirzapur, has given us hints suggesting that it could be coming back very soon – here’s everything you need to know.
Has the Mirzapur season 2 release date been leaked?
After Mirzapur season 1 released on Amazon Prime, millions of fans throughout the world were left yearning for another outing. This was especially the case after the first season ended on a dramatic cliffhanger, leaving many of the characters’ fates up in the air.
Not only common people but also celebs including Anangsha Biswas are quite excited to see the second season of Mirzapur. For the unversed, Anangsha Biswas — who played Zarina in Mirzapur season 1 — will be one of a few characters reprising their roles in second season.
Asked when will Mirzapur season 2 release on Amazon Prime? she had earlier told Madam 360, “I am asked this question everyday, believe me (lol)…. it’s funny some fans even get angry and personnel about its delay in the release… I find it sweet. It show how invested and connected they all are to Mirzapur. I really have no clue about the Mirzapur 2 release date though.”
She further said, “Like others, I am extremely thrilled about Mirzapur 2, can’t wait to binge-watch it myself.”
There have also been some unconfirmed rumours doing rounds on social media claiming that the second season of Mirzapur will be out on December 25, 2020.
Rumours about the show’s return were ignited a few months later when two actors Priyanshu Painyuli and Vijay Varma were roped in for the next season of Mirzapur.
