Not Anushka Shetty but THIS actress to play lead in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu 2?

Earlier, it was reported that Baahubali fame Anushka Shetty will play female lead in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu's sequel. 

Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu was one of the highest grossing movies of Kamal Haasan released in 2006. Besides Kamal Haasan, the film had Jyothika, and Kamalinee Mukherjee playing lead roles while Prakash Raj, Daniel Balaji and Salim Baig played supporting roles.

If anything to go by the latest buzz, Kamal Haasan has collaborated with Gautham Menon for Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu 2 and it will be produced by Ishari K Ganesh’s Vels Film International. Earlier, it was reported that Baahubali fame Anushka Shetty will play female lead in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu‘s sequel.

Now, the latest buzz about the sequel to Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu states that not Anushka Shetty but Keerthy Suresh will be seen sharing the screen space with Kamal Haasan.

For the unversed, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu is an intense cop drama and was dubbed in Telugu as Raghuvaran. In the film, Kamal Haasan played the role of DCP Raghavan while Prakash Raj and Jyothika played the crucial roles.

The story of the film revolves around DCP Raghavan (Kamal Haasan) setting out on an excursion to chase down the enemy of another senior cop’s little girl Rani.

On the professional front, Kamal Haasan will next be seen in the highly anticipated film Indian 2. The film is a sequel to Indian. Directed by Shankar,  Indian 2 will bring back Kamal Haasan in his Senapathy avatar.

On the eve of Kamal Haasan’s birthday, Shankar shared a still from the film which features Kamal Haasan in his Senapathy look.

Keerthy Suresh, on the other hand, was last seen in the thriller flick Penguin, which released on Amazon Prime Video.
