From Tapsee Pannu to Renuka Shahane, many jumped into the outrageous debate that has been going on in Mumbai and adjoining districts about people receiving crazy electricity bills for this month.The recent celebrity to join the bandwagon is popular south Indian actress Karthika Nair.
The ‘Ko’ actress took to her social media handle slamming Adani electricity for charging her over Rs 1 lakh.
“So what kind of scam is @Adani_Elec_Mum conducting in mumbai? June electricity bill close to 1lakh… (based on their “estimates” since they could not do meter reading during lockdown) hearing lots of similar complaints from [email protected] @CMOMaharashtra,” wrote Karthika expressing her shock over the huge electricity bill during the lockdown.
Earlier, on Sunday evening, actress Taapsee had also complained of an insane rise in the electricity bill. “3 months of lockdown and I wonder what appliance(s) I have newly used or bought in the apartment only last month to have such an insane rise in my electricity bill @Adani_Elec_Mum. What kind of POWER are you charging us for,” Taapsee wrote on Twitter. She had also mentioned on social media about how she had received a bloated bill for another house where “no one stays”.
