Happy Birthday Sridevi: Boney Kapoor pens heart-wrenching note on Twitter with an emotional throwback picture

Sridevi is hailed as Indian Cinema's first true superstar. The actor died in Dubai in 2018.

August 13th marks the birth anniversary of India’s first female megastar Sridevi. The actor starred in a whopping 300 movies in a career spanning 6 decades. She was by far the most talented and versatile actors to ever step into the Indian cinema. On her 56th birth anniversary, producer Boney Kapoor wrote a heartwrenching expressing his love and sadness to the later actor. He also shared how much he missed Sridevi “every second of the 900 days” she left him. while adding that the joy of their daughter Janhvi’s film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl getting a positive response is “incomplete without her.”

Taking to Twitter, Boney Kapoor wrote, Jaan missing you lots every second of the 900 days you left us , but more so today to see the joy on your face for the good reaction to Janu’s work in Gunjan, I wish you were here with us, our joy is incomplete without you. Janhvi Kapoor’s big release Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl released a day before Sridevi’s birth anniversary. The film released on the digital platform Netflix due to theatre restrictions owing to the coronavirus pandemic. Gunjan Saxena which is based on the life of India’s first female Air Force Pilot is receiving positive responses from critics and the audience alike. On Sridevi’s birth anniversary, Jahnvi took to her Instagram handle to share a sweet picture with her beloved mom. “I love you, Mumma,” she captioned the picture. Sridevi and Boney Kapoor are parents to actor Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.

Sridevi is rightfully known as India’s first female superstar. The actor has won multiple national and international accolades in her career. She received a National Award for MOM which was also her 300th and final film.
