There are three things which are extremely depressing: death, taxes, and incorrect Google translations. Auto-translation services are supposed to help people communicate easily, but sometimes they just make things embarrassing, confusing, and slightly worrying. With Google translator being improved over the years, it still causes disturbance to BTS on Twitter sometimes.
Check out these snapshots of really perplexing Google translations that can make anybody go crazy:
Seems like there is no end to Jimin’s woes. Apparently, Jimin is the latest victim of Google’s wildin’. On July 26, he shared a picture flaunting his new hair. The caption is supposed to get translated into, “This was JiJinJung. Good night, I love you,” referring to BTS’s live broadcast. Google, however, decided to make heads spin with a weather report instead. We are still figuring out why would Google associate his hairstyle with a weather report!
It translated the caption to, “It was an earthquake well. Good night. Love it.” This is because “지진” (jijin) is the Korean word for “earthquake”. Whoops! Some fans were worried about a real earthquake… …but others say the translation isn’t wrong, technically. Whenever Jimin posts, he shakes fans’ hearts and makes an impact, just like an earthquake!”
