Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Kanye West make ‘Forbes’ list of highest paid singers

Forbes's annual list of highest-paid celebs include Ariana Grande, Kanye West, Kylie Jenner, and the Jonas Brothers among others.

Kanye West scored one of the top positions on the list as the most-paid performer. The Yeezus rapper got the majority of his income through is fashion brand apparel. Kanye’s  highly popular line, Yeezy]boosted his earnings to $170 million after collaborating with Adidas.

The 42-year-old singer came at the 2nd position after his sister in law Kylie Jenner beat him to earn the first spot.

Ed Sheeran had a massive global tour last year which boosted his earnings to $64 million at the #24 spot this year.

Ariana Grande was #17 on the list earning $72 million in 2020. She is currently the United States biggest pop star and had massive success with chartbusters like Thank U, Next, and 7 rings.

Music maestro Elton John was placed at #14 and cashed in over $81 million. The legend continues to remain one of the popular rock singers in the country. His albums saw huge success after his 2019 biopic, Rocket Man.

The Jonas Brother came back stronger after a 7-year sabbatical. The band earned $68.5 scoring the #20 spot on the list. Nick, 27, Joe 30, and Kevin, 32 brought the bulk of their income from their revamped tour Happiness Begins with a massive impact on their reputation.

Taylor Swift’s hugely popular album Lover released in November 2019 which raked in $63.5 million earning her a spot at #25 on the 2020 list.

Post Malone’s circles became one of the biggest songs of the year which spiked the singer’s income to $60 million. The 24-year-old singer is at the #28 position in the list of highest-paid celebs.

Shawn Mendes, 21 also made it to the list at #39 with his big hit with girlfriend Camila Cabello earning him $54.5 million.

Other artists included in the list featured Jay-Z with $53.5 million, K-pop band BTS with #50  million, Drake, and Billie Eilish at $49 and $53 respectively.
