The social media war between Sonu Nigam and Bhushan Kumar seems to be getting worse by the day. In the latest news, Filmmaker Divya Khosla Kumar has now uploaded an 11.50minute video against the singer. The video shows Divya countering Sonu Nigam’s accusations against her husband, even questioning his motives and privilege.
Divya Khosla Kumar took to Instagram to address how T-Series has given chance to many new talents in the industry. She said, “You (Sonu) are such a legend. How many people have you given a break to? No one.” Divya then pointed out that 97% of people working in T-Series are outsiders, not industry kids.
On launching Sonu Nigam
Addressing his other accusations, Divya also reminded Sonu that it was T-Series that gave him his first break. She said, “He used to sing in Delhi’s Ramleela for Rs 5. It was there that Gulshan Kumar spotted him, recognized his talent, and gave him a flight ticket to Mumbai.” She even called her cook Sheru to corroborate her story. Sheru has been with the family since 1988.
On Abu Salem
Sonu Nigam in his YouTube video claimed that Bhushan Kumar came to him for the song Deewana back when T-Series had been low. To this Divya said, ” When Gulshan Kumar was assassinated, Sonu Nigam left T-Series and joined another music company instead of helping Bhushan Kumar during T-Series’ trying times.” On Sonu’s claim that Bhushan asked for his help to save himself from gangster Abu Salem, she said, “Why would Bhushan come to you to save himself from Abu Salem? Did Sonu Nigam Ji have relations with Abu Salem?” She then went on to urge officials to probe the matter.
Sharing the video on Instagram, she captioned it as “The bitter truth #Sonunigam (sic)”.

Addressing #MeToo allegations
Bhushan Kumar had earlier faced #MeToo allegations from an anonymous woman. Addressing those allegations, Divya said that they were fabricated and the police itself termed them baseless.
She further added, “#MeToo is such an important campaign, but some people are using it to malign other’s images. I want to ask you, Sonu Ji, what is #MeToo? Should I accuse you of #MeToo? Should I say you are a #MeToo rapist? Will you turn into a #MeToo rapist then?”
Divya also said that ever since Sonu Nigam’s video came out she and her family have been receiving
threats on social media. She said, “I’m receiving rape threats, Bhushan is getting death threats and my son is being threatened on social media. Why should I tolerate all this?”
The Satyamev Jayate filmmaker said that it is due to Bhagavad Gita that she has decided to raise her voice against wrong and stand by the truth. Her last words to Sonu Nigam were ” The war is on”.
Divya Khosla Kumar’s video comes in reply to singer Sonu Nigam’s accusation against her husband Bhushan Kumar and T-Series. The singer accused the music company of running a music mafia in the industry.
Divya had earlier shared a story calling the singer thankless and full of lies and deceits.
