
Popular Korean pop group BTS broke the world record for the biggest virtual viewership with Bang Bang Con: The Live concert. A Big Hit Entertainment Presentation, the concert went live on Sunday, June 14 for over 100 minutes. The Bangtan Boys performed their different album tracklist including “Dope”, “Friends”, and “Spring Day”.
The show amassed a record viewership of around 756,000 viewers from across 107 countries. Big Hit also revealed that the concert attendees were enough to fill up 15 shows at a 50,000
seat stadium. This is by far the largest global audience for a paid virtual concert. The company also added that the concert has helped grow the BTS ARMY by 10,000 members.
While BTS is no stranger to breaking every possible online record, this one comes as a massive achievement for the boys. The concert was presented through six multi-view screens where fans could watch the show in a full shot synchronized manner.

BTS’ heartthrob in a message to his fans said, “Though we may not be able to see each other at this time, we’ve been constantly striving to grow as a group. We are coping up with it pretty well so hope that you too can overcome this time by finding the small joy within. Hope we can meet each other again with smiles on our faces.”
The BTS boys played songs from their 12-tracklist which included “Boyz with Fun”, “Like”, “Just One Day”, “Jamais Vu”, “Respect”, “Black Swan” among others.
This is probably as close to a concert as the ARMY or the world can ever get for a long long time.
