“Let bad tv be bad tv”: Pamela Anderson on Priyanka Chopra and Dwayne Johnson’s Baywatch

Baywatch actor Pamela Anderson said that she did not like the film version of the famous show, which featured Priyanka Chopra, Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.

90s television heartthrob Pamela Anderson has revealed that she didn’t like the film adaptation of the popular hit Tv series Baywatch.  The model/actor played CJ Parker in the famous show about lifeguards patrolling the beaches of Los Angeles County. The film features Priyanka Chopra as the villain.

When asked about the film adaption she said, “I didn’t like it”. The film also features Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron in the lead roles. She further added, “Let’s just keep the bad TV as bad TV. That’s what’s charming about Baywatch, you know? Trying to make these movies out of television is just messing with it.”

The show was all the rage in the 90s for its hot bikini girls, running on the beach, and the thrilling action sequences. The 52-year-old model also said that the filmmakers went overboard with the budget. “$65 million would make a good movie. We made our show for like $500,000 – you have the same explosions, the same sequences of water. That’s the fun part; being creative,” she said.

Anderson made a cameo appearance in the 2017 movie along with Baywatch co-star
David Hasselhoff. On his show Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen Pamela went into details about how the movie got it wrong.

Baywatch, the film, also stars Alexandra Daddario and Kelly Rohrback. The movie received much love at the box office but did not manage to be a critic favorite.
