In an old interview with a magazine (now going viral), Ayushmann recalled the time he met Karan Johar and the two instantly hit it off. KJO even offered his office landline number for Ayushmann to call. But after multiple failed attempts at trying to reach him, Ayushmann was abruptly told by Dharma staff that they only work with stars.

Karan Johar has been facing the ire on social media since the sudden death of Kai Po Che actor Sushant Singh. While Sushant did not leave any note, many have speculated that isolation and ban from various production houses was the reason for his depression.
