The most loved couple of Bollywood, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have starred together in many films, notably being, Guru, Dhoom 2, Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, and they both continue to garner attention both on-screen and off-screen. As of now, Abhishek Bachchan is all set for the release of his debut digital project, Breathe: Into the Shadows. During one such candid conversation with Pinkvilla, when Abhishek was questioned about sharing screen space again with wifey Aishwarya Rai, he said that they won’t engage in any project just for the sake of it.
As much as we are yearning to watch Aishwarya and Abhishek romance on screen, it is indeed sure that the duo, also, would want to create that magical charm yet again on screen for their fans, however, Abhishek asserted that they would surely work together but only if the narrative appeals to them.
Abhishek added, what is superb about Aishwarya and him is the chemistry they share while bifurcating the personal and professional. “We’ve never thought of doing a project just for the sake of both us coming together. It is something that has to creatively satisfy the needs of each individual artistes. It’s always about ‘here’s something really good and interesting’. It entirely depends on what the subject is.”
As per reports, Abhishek and Aishwarya were to reunite on screen for Anurag Kashyap’s Gulab Jamun, however, the project didn’t progress any further. On the professional front, Aishwarya was last seen in Fanney Khan co-starring Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, and post Breathe, Abhishek will be seen in The Big Bull, Ludo and Bob Biswas.
