Parineeta which turned 15, marked the Hindi debut of Dirty picture actor Vidya Balan alongside Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan. The film had some terrific songs to its credit combined with amazing performances. Parineeta also starred Dia Mirza and Raima Sen in crucial roles.

The actress expressed her undying love for cinema in a moving note. “Like Lolita was Shekhar’s better half even before the world knew it, you were mine too … but on the 10th of June 2005, I became your Parineeta. I loved you then and I love you now and I love you forevermore …my dear Cinema. Sanjay Dutt also shared pictures from Parineeta and thanked everyone for all the love they’ve shown the film over the years.
Actress Dia Mirza penned an emotional note on the 15th anniversary of Parineeta. She wrote, “So many wonderful memories made on this film and so many lifelong friendships #15YearsOfParineeta. This image was shot by the incredible Joy Datta. I can’t believe he is no more. One of the many people in this film I learned so much from. Miss you Joy.”
She went on to praise Vidya Balan for her impeccable acting. Dia also expressed her gratitude at being a part of this lyrical period romantic drama. She also praised the entire team for tirelessly making every shot memorable. “Will never forget our producer Vinod Chopra’s belief and investment in us all. Parineeta remains one of the best musical love stories in Hindi cinema.
